The City of Plantersville desires to serve our residents, as a courtesy, by maintaining a Community Calendar on the City of Plantersville website for the posting of events that are open to the general public, occur within the Plantersville area and meet the criteria listed in the Resolution 13-21 Community Calendar Policy attachment A.
PLEASE NOTE: This will be a courtesy service and the City of Plantersville takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any misinformation, confusion, or errors in spelling, language, dates of anything posted on the website;
WHEREAS, the City of Plantersville reserves the right to decline or remove any event from the calendar at any time and without notice.
WHEREAS, the City of Plantersville will do our best to review and submitted events in a timely manner but the City take takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for delay or for declining to post an event.
Community Calendar Policy
Members of the public may submit event information for approval for inclusion on the City of Plantersville’s online community calendar, if that event is open to the general public, occurs within the Plantersville area and meets the following criteria:
*Business sponsored events, which are open to the general public (Plantersville businesses only)
*Church fairs and bazaars
*Community Events (Plantersville events only)
*Festivals (Plantersville area only)
*Educational events/workshops, which are open to the general public (Plantersville events only)
*Recreational events/tournaments (Local Schools, School Systems, and Town Recreation Events)
*Arts and entertainment events (Plantersville events only)

Sunday in the Park
The Grimes County Historical Commission will host Sunday in the Park, a fundraiser benefiting improvements to Historic Anderson Heritage Park.
Date: Sunday, October 18, 2026
Time: 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Historic Anderson Heritage Park
212 S. Main Street, Anderson, TX 77830
Meal tickets are $20 each and may be purchased in advance or at the event. Each meal includes two pieces of fried chicken, two sides, and a roll.
The event will also feature local artisans, entertainment, children’s activities, bucket raffles, and additional food and drinks available for purchase. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and picnic blankets.
